To Whom It May Concern:
This letter is to refer Mr. J.B. Smiley, Jr. to you. I have known J.B. over the last year as a student-athlete at Pikeville College, KY. Over this time I have been very impressed with J.B.’s dedication to all areas of his life from his personal life, educational life and his basketball life.
J.B. has a great sense of passion in all he does. He takes great pride in his work as a student and as a role model for all he comes in contact. J.B. is a person that you can count on for quality workmanship in all he sets out to do.
I have found that in the athletics profession it is essential to your success to be able to lead and outwork others. I can assure you that J.B. has both of these necessary qualities! His experiences in high school athletics and his college experiences have made him a valuable asset to your program. His commitment will be unmatched and I know J.B. will have a passion that will make him successful.
Some of my fondest memories in my profession as a basketball coach and educator revolve around great performances and ambition. I can assure you that J.B. has the ambition to be successful and the work ethic to make it happen.
As a player J.B. exhibited great leadership at the point guard spot for our team. He was an extension of the coach on the floor and was a very dependable ball handler and passer. He led our team in deflections and steals as well as being one of our top three scores. He will not be outworked and will be a great teammate.
I recommend Mr. J.B. Smiley, Jr. to you without reservation. Please feel free to contact me in regards to J.B. at 606-205-8661, anytime!
Sincerely,
Kelly Wells
